Advice Service
Due to financial constraints the advice service will now operate as follows.
From Monday the 11th April we regret that home visits, assistance with mandatory reconsiderations, appeals and tribunal representation will no longer be provided.
All advice services will continue as usual between the hours of 10:00am and 15:00 pm Monday to Friday by appointment only.
To arrange appointments please telephone 01670 360927 during office hours.
The advice service is now running exclusively from Stanley Street.
We aim to remove barriers to participation within our sport and leisure projects. Retain independence within our Welfare Rights Advice Service. Reaching the most vulnerable in society, the socially and economically excluded those hardest to reach.
Our telephone help line deals with enquiries from members of the public, statutory and voluntary agencies requesting help advice or assistance on a wide variety of disability issues.
We assess and assist in the completion of complicated Department for Work and Pensions benefit claim forms, for Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment Attendance Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance to name but a few.
We provide private, impartial, confidential, independent advice and offer a full benefit check to ensure all benefit entitlement is claimed. We work on an appointment system, this in itself relieves the stress of a waiting room scenario, it gives the client a time and a named person, the advisor has an idea of the interview and what is needed, or required to give our best advice and value to each individual.
